Photo Spotlight: Sunni shrine, Data Darbar

Lahore's Data Darbar is one of the oldest Sunni Muslim shrines in Pakistan. The remains of a Sufi saint, Abul Hassan Ali Hajvery are kept there and followers believe he had the power to create miracles. The shrine is visited by thousands of worshipers hoping to be blessed.

On July 1, two suicide bombers blew themselves up at the shrine – killing at least 50 and injuring more than 200. The attack at such a revered Sufi shrine shocked and angered residents of Lahore. CNN cameraman Christopher Jackson visited the shrine after the attack. FULL POST

Photo spotlight: Faces in Jalozai Refugee camp

Jalozai Refugee camp, outside of Peshawar, is one of the largest refugee camps in Pakistan. I recently visited the overcrowded camp, meeting refugees who fled fighting in Pakistan's tribal area. While there, I photographed some of the more than 100,000 people who are now taking shelter in the camp.

Photo spotlight: Faces in Bajaur

The Bajaur Agency is the northern-most district in Pakistan's tribal region located along the Afghan border and has been the target of airstrikes on militant hideouts in the past months. CNN recently visited the area where the Pakistani army showed us where some of the Taliban lived, in an intricate network of 154 tunnels and caves. While there, we captured some of the faces of the local villagers and soldiers in the Pakistan Army. FULL POST
