Brigade commanders update security operations in Afghanistan and respond to questions about "don't ask, don't tell."
I personally want the US to take a more isolationist stance and let the Middle East take care of themselves. From a taxpayer perspective I am totally tired of all the money that is disappearing into despots pockets over there. It would be nice if money we sent went to help those that need ot but corruption is a cup filled to the brim and people always seem to want more.
The US can survive on its own. We have enough resources.
Bush and Obama do not ask children or elderly people to strap bombs onto themselves either.
This would be a correct policy, as nobody could blame you or us for their problems. They need to be able to govern themselves.
Salerno, the fact is that the US military is NOT the whole reason you have suicide bombers and a culture that allows their youth to strap bombs onto themselves. This mentality is something that is learned. The terrorist that attacked us on 911 did not have parents that were killed by US military. They were taught a hatred of a people due to being different.
You did not answer the question as to why the people do not give up the Taliban or Al Queada?
I am positive that the American military does not purposely kill people in thier houses UNLESS the people they are seeking surround themselves with innocents which bad guys tend to do so they can make us look bad.
9/11 attackers were a different kind of suicide bombers, very motivated too by the US military operations in the middle east. This is why they hit US and not Switzerland. Suicide bombers are the only way people can defend themselves from US aggression or at least get some revenge for tehir innocent relatives killed. This is why even in Iraq even women blew up to kill US soldiers. The oldest eas a 67 y/o woman. A little difficoult to think she was brainwashed !
Taliban had no possibility to capture Osama as after 9 years even the strong US military failed miserably to do it with all their satellite and weapon technology.
The US Has no business being the military arm of the Saudi families thus allowing us drawing into foreign situations we do not necessarily need to be involved in. I imagine this is what you are referring to with the 9/11 terrorist.
Think about this though-would you be defending yourself against US aggression if we had not been attacked on 9/11? NO!
So saying we are the aggressors is wrong. We are not trying to take your land. More than anything it would be nice to perhaps be able to let you see that perhaps your lifestyle needs a bit of changing especially when you have people strapping bombs onto themselves. In order to help you out you need to help yourselves a little bit and get rid of all the negativity-quit the hate-seriously.
You got to know Osama is left alive for a purpose don't you?
Anyway. Salerno-it is brainwashing when people strap bombs onto themselves. Not that hard to do if the people are desperate enough. Let me put it this way-I have never heard of one of the "leaders" do this. They just talk a good game-hence brainwash.
Somewhere along the way all we can really offer each other is HOPE.
It is not just the support for Saudi family, but for Israel, plus the 10 years of Iraq bombing, that caused 9/11. Iraq war would be moved even without 9/11. War in Afghanistan killed innocent people not responsible for 9/11, as they were not in control of Osama. Terrorist training camps are in USA as Osama was a CIA agent, and Timothy Mc Veigh was a soldier.
About the leaders, they are necessary as someone must coordinate the operations. Even Bush and Obama do not risk their lives fighting personally, so what ?
Dan, I did not know they used children! Salerno, seriously, you are defending why it is OK for children to die if it is the name of their country? That is NEVER OK and I I find it quite offensive and cowardly for a culture to use children in such a way.
All Afghanis would need to do to receive aide from America is to give up the Taliban to our military. Save the kids for a better future and get rid of the oppressive Taliban.
The age of most suicide bomvers is betwen 18-26 years, sometime less. generally young suicide bombers had their parents killed by US military. So it takes just half an hour to turn a young man to a suicide bomber, as he yet hates the american and the allies. So the american invasion is creating suicide bombers. This is a new HOLOCAUST. Instead of deportation americans kill the people in their houses randomly. Suicide bombers are the result.
NATO, the ANA and the ANP are doing a great job in securing the country from the Taliban and their terrorist allies and this spring will show their courage in fighting these cowardly people who most probably will use many children as suicide bombers which they have brainwashed into believing that God will reward them for their insane killings of people who want to help the afghan people instead of gaining power and control over the people!
Dan – you are a liar like the US military. They are the cowards fighting against children. Children are not brainwashed, they hate the americans and defend their country. Americans are the invaders and the responsible for the situation.
The winter is a period of low intensity war, but even so in last days 2 British soldiers were killed. There is a price to pay for your evil plans.
Video shows how it is difficult to tell a lie. Both officers had a sword on their head and had no option to call the spade a spade. Coming spring has visible signs on their faces and only they see how hard this can be. DAN what you say if you really believe in you will taste few days with your these soldiers just in their tents not on front line. If returned safely then surely you will join Ron PAUL in putting an end this stupid Afghan policy.
