Sorry folks,I never posted the above. I only wish that this joker who usurped my name would only tell the whole story like who devastated Vietnam in the 1960's and 70's and who planned and carried out the tragic overthrow of Chilean President SalvadorAllende in 1973,for openers.

Quite right,Dan. What we need on this webbsite is far less right-wing propaganda and a lot more truth. Thank you Dan for telling it like it is!

Dindy, I need to correct you, in the new testament Jesus claims that He and the Father are one. Also He told His disciples that the Holy Spirit had dwelt with them and would be with them when He was gone. Meaning He was the Holy Spirit and after His Spirit had left it would also be with all who believed in Him. So you see Jesus is the trinity: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

What is the truth, The prophecy of Muhammad that has yet to come? I call the truth to love one another as thyself as Jesus said if you do this you obey all God's commandments but for sure have no God before Him which Allah was made from the moon god al-ilah during the time when Arabs worshiped and idolized moon, sun and star gods!

Back in the 1980's the Russians tried the very same thing here but they didn't win the "hearts and minds" of the people. Whether the West will succeed or not remains to be seen. Either way,we have no right to be there!

Isn't that the other way around,Phunnie boy? It's the NATO countries who are there to exploit Afghanistan's natural resources for their own benefit. Besides,Great Britain and France have a track record of conquering third world countries and exploiting their resources which eventually led to WW1.

The Taliban had ALL but eradicated ALL of Afghanistan's Opium poppy fields across ALL of Afghanistan. Along comes the CIA with handpicked Hamid Karzai and the Karzai Clan promptly planted Opium poppy's across ALL of Afghanistan's 34 provinces under the blessings of the Republican administration of Bush-Cheney.

Heroin production THEN skyrocketed, making Hamid Karzai's brother allegedly THE MAJOR exporter of Heroin to the entire world! IF the Taliban return to power in Afghanistan, they will AGAIN eradicate the Opium poppy fields across ALL of Afghanistan, gutting that major funding to the Chinese Triad's and to the Mexican Drug Cartels.

Swords to Plowshares? Republican 2012 Presidential front running candidate Mitt Romney recently pledged before a massive meeting of the US Military Complex defense contractors that HE would immediately begin a new series of Nuclear Weapons with various applications and upgrades. Mitt Romney flat out stated he would start and build up a massive Nuclear Weapons arm's race very similar to what former Republican President Ronald Reagan did during the cold war period.

Of course Russia would abandon the Democratic President Obama nuclear arms reduction treaty with Russia and embark on a massive new build-up themselves.

America's Presidential Elections have stark consequences for America and for the world. The Republican administration of Bush-Cheney flooded the entire world with Heroin destroying entire nations with the resulting tidal wave of freely available Heroin. A Republican administration of Mitt Romney would push American and Russia once again in a hyper-expensive nuclear weapons arm's race.

THIS IS ONE OF THE KEY PIECES TO REBUILDING AFGHANISTAN!! Agriculture is essential to self-sufficiency, and its always been the core of the Afghan economy. Afghanistan used to be a net exporter of all kinds of wonderful fruits and nuts. God bless this guy and thank GOD someone in the White House actually understands Afghanistan!!!!!!! THIS IS GOING TO GO MILES AND MILES towards improving relations and getting Afghans off the Taliban and Opium, IF you can spread it throughout this Texas-sized country. =) GOOD WORK JEFF!!!!!!!!!

It's an american civilian risking his life for the common people in Afghanistan and you people have the nerve to make judgement based on your narrow political world view. Since the 70s Afghans have bene unable to grow anything above subsistence level and this guy is trying to fix that, not based on his politics or his religion, just a desire to help his fellow man. I helped protect a guy like this in Logar province and it's one of the most rewarding things I ever did in my life. You get to see hope on the faces of men and children. Before you idiots try and spin this to fit your narrow views of the world why don't you get off your asses, talk with the people this guy is helping and see if they support your "agenda" viewpoint. And "rightwing"? I doubt it.
