Street children 'bereft of everything'

This is the second time we've seen this little urchin girl. The first time I saw her was near the ruins of the bombed-out Darul-Aman Palace outside Kabul. Totally alone. Filthy. Bereft of everything. Sadly there are so many children like her on the streets of Kabul.

According to UNICEF, there are over 2 million orphans in Afghanistan and twenty-five percent of Afghan children die before reaching their fifth birthday.

kf – When you say "There are children this desparate right here in the USA", you society has created that. This child nad NO CHOICE as she was put in a situation like that in her own country by YOUR government. So it is not fair or right to compare the two situations. Your government screwed up her future but the future of the kids in the USA is screwed up by your society. They are fortunate as your society should be able to help them and give them a brighter future. WHO is going to provide for this child and 1000s like her?!!

There is no reason why our roving reporter can not obtain help for this child and any others helpless, abandoned, and ripe for the flourishing trafficking industry over there.
Get off your abstract, uninvolvement pedestal, CNN 'human interest' reporter.

It appears to be well established that Osama bin Ladin was on the CIA payroll at least 10 years from 1980-1990 to train and equip Pakistan Taliban fighters against the Soviet Army in Afghanistan.

Osama bin Ladin was 'supposedly' linked to financing the embassy bombings in Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, 1998). In the specific embassy bombings it is entirely and totally connected to an Egyptian Islamic Jihad group and at most might have been associated with Ayman al-Zawahiri who had been previously imprisoned in Egypt over his purported links to Egyptian Islamic militants and the assassination of Anwar Sadat the Egyptian ruler. To outright claim Osama bin Ladin caused the embassy bombings in Africa is a outright lie, propaganda. He wasn't in those countrys, his only connection with Egyptian Islam militants is Ayman al-Zawahiri. And yet, it appears some agency marked Osama bin Ladin for death after the US Embassy bombings, even thou it is entirely questionable who financed the US Embassy bombings in Africa.

Who then pressured former President Bill Clinton to pull the plug on supporting Osama bin Ladin and for Clinton to order a multiple cruise missile attack on Osama bin Ladin's training camp and upon his known location? One day he's on the CIA payroll, the next he is marked for death using multi-million dollar cruise missiles and the reason 'floated' for the 180 degree turn-around to the American public is that Osama bin Ladin 'appeared' to have financed the US Embassy bombings in Africa.

French advisors and security agents were among those in Osama bin Ladin's location and the U.S. State Dept. notified French officials of the impending missile strike roughly 1 hour prior to their time of launch. One or more French officials immediately TOLD Osama bin Ladin of the impending missile strike and together they immediately left that area. Apparently Osama bin Ladin decided to not tell the recruits he left behind as he quietly fled.

The 30 year and counting relationship between the utterly corrupt, depraved and nefarious Pakistani ISI and America's CIA is without question a cozy one. Although America's elected Government divorced it's relationship with Osama bin Ladin some 20 years ago, the overwhelming question is IF America's 4th. branch of Government, it's Shadow Government, DHS including the CIA severed it's relationship with Osama bin Ladin or continued using him during his remaining life and continues to use him after his death?

Osama bin Ladin is a literal CASH COW which enabled the allegedly depraved Bush-Cheney to move nearly 1 Trillion dollars from America's Social Security coffers, replacing them with federal IOU's and creating the utterly gigantic unelected 4th. Branch of Government, Dept. of Homeland Security with 800,000 managers having top secret or higher clearance, 1.6 Million lower level employees and approximately 10,000 offices across America alone. The main DHS complex itself, is THREE times physically LARGER than the gigantic Pentagon building! If Bush jr. had succeeded in privatizing Social Security in 2005, that fund would have collapsed two years later during the Wall Street melt-down and what Bush-Cheney had previously done would have been entirely hidden and disappeared.

Understand that the plight of those children is not on our heads, though we will choose to help as much as we can. The plight of those children is a direct consequence of the actions of the terrorists and those that supported them on Sept 11. The plight of those children was decided by the Taliban when they decided to strike the United States of America. We cannot stand by while the likes of terrorists kill our children, so we had to strike back. And strikes of war affect everyone involved. But, we did not choose to go to war. The war was brought to us. And we returned it. You mess with the bull, you get the horns. And as accurate and carefully thought out as our munitions are in this war, there are going to be innocent lives lost. But, in reality, it is the choices of their parents to support terrorism and the Taliban that brought the pain into everyone's lives on both sides. And that makes them responsible for what has happened to these children. That also brings to mind the practice of Taliban cowards of hiding among the innocents in order to take advantage of American forces' consideration and care for innocent lives. That, too, brings the consequences of the losses on their heads.

We aren't there for the primary reason of assisting the indigenous people. We are there to show the terrorist forces that we don't put up with people killing our own, on our soil or anywhere else. As a matter of being there to bring the consequences of their actions on the people responsible for killing our people on 911, we happen to be there and available to assist the innocent among them where we can. We aren't there to push our way of life on them, or to help those that cannot help themselves-though we choose to assist those because it is the human thing to do. We are there because there are consequences for acts of war, and due punishment for those that strike us out of hate.

30 years of American taxpayer provided weapons and explosives being used in Afghanistan, what does anyone expect other than bombed out buildings and huge numbers of homeless children? If you don't like what you see then American taxpayers should demand their lawmakers stop pouring Hundreds of Billions worth of weapons and explosives to be used and detonated in Afghanistan year after year. No money, No war, turn off the spigot.

This little angel is a challenge to human conscience, champion of human rights and so called civilized world under the US command. She is victim in the war between Osama and Obama, having lost her parents and now will grow on the streets. what is her sin and why she suffer in the fight of these big one of the world. Thousands of such orphans during last three decades have been made the terrorists of today. Any one can pick up these orphans from streets and than use them in suicide bombings and suicide missions. This menace is fastly spreading which will ultimately punish its creators.

Yaqubi; frankly speaking I am not agree with the way of your thinking. I am from Pakistan and a Muslim. Your way of thinking and way of expression is your denial of Islam as a universal religion for the welfare of all human beings in this universe. In Islam all are equal however good human beings and pious one are near to God. No one can prove that Islam is against any religion and has openly urged believers to keep faith in all Abrahamic religions and their sacred Books. So by putting Islam in confrontation with Hinduism is in fact your own created issue, which badly hurt Islam's Universal image. Being Pakistani we might be having differences with India but that should not be made the fight between the individuals in such a big forum like CNN where every one come to share views on particular issue and wish to know reality. Your this way of presentation is causing harm to your person, your ideology and your nation as by pulling Hindu in almost every issue is your intentional defamation of Pakistan and Islam or ignorance of ground realities. Kindly keep in mind that this forum has great importance in human awakening at global level therefore it should not be wasted in inhuman confrontations among the human beings and which every contemporary religion in this universe has condemned. I hope you will change for the best.
