Roadside bomb kills 3 civilians

Three Afghan civilians were killed and two more wounded when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb in the Waghaz district of Ghazni province in eastern Afghanistan on Monday, the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan said.

Another Afghan civilian was injured in a separate roadside blast Monday in the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand province in the south.

"Insurgents continue to take innocent lives by planting these deadly IEDs on roadways traveled by ordinary civilians," said U.S. Air Force Col. James Dawkins, director of the the force's Joint Command Combined Joint Operations Center.

According to a recent UN report, insurgents were responsible for the deaths and injuries of more than 2,470 civilians in the first six months of 2010, the force said.

The fact that you're using the ID "Right-Wing Thug" while railing AGAINST the alleged right-wing thug would seem to indicate that you're a spambot.

      Are you a spambot?
