Pakistan military: Wanted Taliban commander killed

The Pakistani army killed one of the most wanted Taliban commanders on Sunday in the country's tribal region, the military said Tuesday.

He is Ameer Ullah Mehsud, one of the founders of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, or TTP.

Mehsud, 45, was from the town of Makeen in South Waziristan, one of the seven districts of Pakistan's lawlessness tribal region bordering Afghanistan.

The military said Mehsud, wanted for a bounty of $234,000, was killed during an exchange of fire with soldiers near Miran Shah in North Waziristan. He was known as Mazloomyar, which means "friend of the oppressed."

Twio weeks ago the taliban murdered a 7 yr old boy because they thought he was a spy. The key words are 7 and spy. They hanged him in front of his family. Show me where this type action is OK in the Quran. I wonder if the US soldiers thought a 7 year old was spying for the Taliban if they would hang him? There is no person that would believe there is any chance that they would. There is no quetion that the Taliban would murder him. So here is the difference between civilized and non- civilized peoples.

Our military is now on the biggest push ever since the war started. The Taliban can hide with their women and children. They can dress like a woman. We are going to find them and then we will kill them like dogs that they are.The fight is now coming to them. We are coming and if they stand against us we will destroy them just as in any fight that they do not run from. For the uninformed we win 100% of these battles. I am proud of all our troops for their sacrifice and am also proud of their families at home for theirs. You all represent this great nation so well and give me hope!

The military industrial companies, which I think you are referring to, do not control any part of the government and that also goes for the Pakistani government too!

Until the Taliban, from wherever they live or come from, stop their insane killings and maniac murders and become more humane this war against them WILL NOT STOP!

I am not sure if by Military Industrial Complex (MIC) you mean the Military itself, or if stockholders in major military oriented corporations. Cause if it's the Miltary you think is running the President and Congress, you are outside your mind Daniel-2. The Senate and Congress holds sway over ALL military operations. While I operated in the Marines, I wished they would step out of the picture of war, since none of them have a clue how to fight a war, and let us trained to do the killing, actually do just that. Hell, if Senate and Congress didn't have to approve every action the military takes in terms of offense, we'd have crushed the Taliban in Afghanistan, and probably have the military up and running, good and strong.
