The Pakistani army killed one of the most wanted Taliban commanders on Sunday in the country's tribal region, the military said Tuesday.
He is Ameer Ullah Mehsud, one of the founders of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, or TTP.
A member of the NATO-led force in Afghanistan was killed Tuesday, a day after six other members were killed in separate incidents, the military said.
These deaths come after a grim milestone in the war, the International Security Assistance Force said. June was the deadliest month for coalition troops in Afghanistan since the war began in 2001. ISAF did not release details about the death Tuesday.
