Civilians or fighters? Debate lingers over deaths at housing compound

KUSHKAK, Nangarhar — Friends and family in the Kushkak village of Afghanistan's Nangarhar province pray for those who died.

3 Americans among dead in Afghan plane crash

Three Americans were among the 44 people killed when a plane crashed in a mountainous region of Afghanistan last week, Afghanistan's Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.

The three were among 15 non-Afghans on the Pamir Airways plane, which crashed May 17 en route from Kunduz to Kabul. FULL POST
