Mountain trails reveal weapons smuggling route

Nima Elbagir reports for CNN: We had traveled from the city of Herat in out to Afghanistan's western border to film a story on the smuggling of weaponry to the Taliban from Iran – we wanted to get a sense of how much was being done to block the smuggling trails along the Iranian border - an area of remote mountain trails and passes.

Though this story is not surprising, I certainly hope that NATO/ISAF and Afghan forces can at least minimize this smuggling activity for the sake of security in the region as a whole..

Here's some more of that Western right-wing propaganda, looking for an excuse to go to war. I guess that the efforts of the C.I.A. and the British MI-6 are simply not working in Iran.

If Iran weren't helping to arm the Taliban with bomb making material, guns and ammo I would be amazed. They support every terrorist group that fights against the western world. They are the worst in supporting terrorists. They support Hezbollah, Hamas and most likely Islamic radicals fighting in Yemen and Somalia. They think that Islam will rule the world and that the Messiah will come from their ranks. They are ruthless rulers that arrest, try and kill those who oppose their rule. The clerics that rule Iran say that they are godly but with the way they rule they are the most ungodly rulers of any nation since the fall of the Taliban! I only hope that the rulers in Iran realize what Jesus said about them, that they are wolves in sheep's clothing! They do not even care for their own people let alone the people of the world. All they are concerned with is power over the people not the people themselves! May God's judgment be upon them for the way they rule and for supporting terrorism around the world!
