2 British soldiers killed in Helmand Province

LONDON, England - Two British soldiers were killed in Afghanistan on Monday, the Ministry of Defence said. They died in roadside bomb explosions in Helmand Province, a part of southern Afghanistan that has been the site of fierce fighting between the Taliban and coalition troops, the ministry said in a written statement.

The soldiers were on foot patrol when the explosions happened, said Lt. Col. David Wakefield, a spokesman for Task Force Helmand, a predominantly British military command that conducts operations in Helmand province. Wakefield made his comments in the ministry's statement, which said the soldiers were from the 3rd Battalion, The Yorkshire Regiment but did not identify them by name.

The war should be stopped now.For the sake of the soldiers and the Afghan people. Why just count the soldiers death.Afghan people were also human being. Are they died for nothing in their homeland? Let their people decide their country's fate.

We train and hype our soldiers up for the war on terror only to be killed in roadside bombings. They are sent to enforce the war on drugs as well. We must all see through this facade sooner or later.

Mario may have said it poorly , but as a paratrooper verteran of the Viet Nam war, and having seen what i've seen, I think anyone who picks the army as a " job" is crazy. Not all wars are worth fighting. As a matter of fact, most are not. The only winners in most wars are Bell, Northrop, Hallliburtan, Boeing, etc. As Eisenhower said in his last speech, " beware the military industriall complex"

Mario, why do you make comments like you do? Does it make you feel better about yourself? I guess it doesn't because you refer to yourself in lower case letters. Those "invaders and killers" are people just doing a job. I am glad now we know who to turn to that can tell us what God thinks. Everyone, "mario" is the one that we should follow, he knows they way.
