I'm a contractor who works side by side the US Army. I was at Camp Phoenix on the day of the attack. One of the soldiers that was injured was one of mine when the first bomb exploded and he kept fighting. I thank the soldiers that responded and I was out there with my gear ready to fight by their side. No matter what we are all Americans and I'll be proud to fight by my soldiers. They did a fine job securing the base and cleaning up the mess afterwards. But the terrorists didn't deter our operations because we were out there the next day doing our thing. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND OUR ARMED FORCES.

The suicide bombers get to be martyrs, the guards get some target practice, nobody else was hurt, and -4 from the gene pool. Everyone wins.

Those attackers were NOT terrorists as they targeted a military compound. Terrorist are the US soldiers when killed 9 children in Kunar province. By US definition terrorists target civilians.

Let’s be thinking in a wisdom ways,

As human being we have the responsibilities to respect each other and to listen from each other, to go on the way which do not bother other people and nationals. However, as you all have knows and aware since very long time about Afghanistan, its problems remained unsolved why?

There are most of you may aware of when the Mujaheedin defeat the Russian forces and its puppet Najeebullah government in Afghanistan and they (Mujaheedin) got the power in 1992, the United Nations and international forces had ignored Afghanistan and stop there assistance to Mujaheedin regime, this time Pakistan through its some slave like Gulboddin Hekmatyar and other its agents had interfered in Afghanistan and committed many crimes in Afghanistan to took the power and to establish the Pakistani government in Afghanistan. In spite of many effort Pakistan failed and could not imposed its control in Afghanistan, but Pakistan had strong influence in the country through its some agents who were and who are on power now too.

As Pakistan got that Gulboddin Hekmatyar and its allies could not defeat the Mujaheedin government, which was strongly supported by great Massoud, who was the defense minister that time, who had fought and battled a lot for the people’s rights, and people have liked him for his services and sacrificing for the people of this country. As Pakistan disappointed to impose the Pakistani regime to Afghanistan by Gulboddeen Hekmatyar and that was unexpected outcome for Pakistan then Pakistan sent Taliban under the name of Islamic term (Taliban) and in a seductive way the Taliban put Islam forwarded in 1996. And under the name of Islam they killed many people and destroyed many houses and eliminated many gardens and trees of the people in north and central Afghanistan, just those strong people were standing as mountains of resistance against Taliban , Alqaeda Pakistan and their supporters, who were the real people of the country and son of the soil under the leading of great Massoud. Great Massoud decreased the power of Taliban and their allies near to zero by his wisdom tactics, regressions and transgressions in many places of the country, but in 2001 as Taliban and their allies understood that they could not take over the control of country with existing of great Massoud , who was against the terrorists and barbarism and although many times Pakistan wanted from Massoud to give part for Taliban in Afghan government, but due to great Massoud knew that he can not work under the influence of Pakistan and Taliban , which was not and which is not for the good of the people and the country, great Massoud denied Pakistan’s suggestion several times. Then Pakistan and its allies assassinated him by two Arabs who called themselves journalists in 2001.

After the event of 11 in united states and international forces attacked on Taliban and within two weeks by the support of Mujaheedin, Taliban disappeared from the country and Mujaheedin again got the power, but this time the big mistake of the international forces was that they chose Karzai has president of Afghanistan, although in free election in Bone among the participants of a meeting which had held for the Afghanistan the Parson by the name Dr, Abdul Star Seyrat was the winner, but the united states put Karzai instead of him. Karzai is very incapable man, just he knows how to reflect immediately in saying of useless speech and statements against all except Taliban Aqaeda and Pakistan and their supporters.

You all have understood this, since he has worked as president of the country his very serious priority function has been to bring back Taliban on power , at first step he announced that all Taliban forgave by him without any coordination with people, what people wanted and want. You know Taliban have killed many innocent people around the Afghanistan, they are the top criminals around the world, people want justice. Taliban do not have respect to humanity, except killing, drug smuggling, still Karzai and international forces want to do peace with them, in daily base they kill civilians.

If we have had one month strong action and measures against Taliban rather than following the unclear policy of Karzai , very time before we would defeat the Taliban and their allies completely. These all escalating of chaos and barbarism of Taliban is because of Karzai is misleading the country toward the stone age which is Taliban time.

Karzai is very irresponsible man, who has lost his minds and wisdom for his discriminations biases that he has against the other ethnic groups, Karzai does not want to remove and finished the Taliban completely, until Karzai is on power. all people knows him better and now it is the time that international forces come on this point with more and very effective attention from their own eyes, not looking the things in Afghanistan from the Pakistan and Karzais glasses, which does not figure out the reality in Afghanistan.

Clearly people of Afghanistan read this blog. I like to say something to you from a large number of people here in the USA. In our 200+ years as a nation we have fought many battles. Here and abroad. Mostly outnumbered and recently (last 100+ years) in foriegn lands. We did not or do not want to kill innocent people nor do we want to die of anything but old age. We do die tho, we have died on battlefields across the globe. We die for our country and for its people. For our country to make beyond a doubt its safe from tyranny, from terrorist, from enemies. We do this for our mothers and fathers, our sisters and brothers, our aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins neighbors the list goes on. Its because we care for them, that we go into harms way. Now can you please tell me why the people of Afghanistan cannot muster up enough good people to clean out the taliban or al qaeda? Not enough guns? Thats an excuse. Who knows the talibans weakness better then their neighbor? THey live with and among you. Do you people (individuals) want to live forever? Is it better for you to live foreever as a slave to the taliban than to stand up and fight and maybe even die? Not even for your childrens childrens sake?.....Now you (as a nation) have had help for years and doing some good, But where are the heros? They all cannot be dead, they must live on in the actions of others, protecting your freedoms (religon too!!) protecting your children and families from a cruel contemptable band of thugs called taliban. I wish you success if it is as you say that the whole of the people there are tolerant of religions and freedom. Freedom is a powerfull word. Basically, it means we can say or do just about anything we want as long as it doesnt hurt anyone. Is your nation on the whole going to bring the murderers to justice? Will they stand trial? If not then you are part of the problem. you say one thing and mean another. Do not hide the truth because time will tell wether the people of Afghanistan will stand up as free men or be shackled in the yoke of tyranny on its own people.

America did NOT protect his citizens from terrorism, on the contrary America exposed his citizens to attacks because their military operations. 9/11 was a reaction. Why Switzerland or Austria had no 9/11 ? Because they did NOT bomb Sudan and Afghanistan like Clinton did BEFORE 9/11.

I see you are stuck in a self rightous state of mind salerno. We can and should attack all who wish us true harm. If you say clinton bombed against sudan ansd ahfganistan, what reason was it? Do you know? Or just not want to admit the truth. After all didn't clinton also destroy Yugoslavia for the sake of protecting muslims ? Stop looking at the world with blinders on. When the US or UN kill civilians it is when crimimals are amongst them. When islamist martyrs kill civilians its for selfgain. DON'T DENY IT

I want to educate you about what is going on, it was a bad action and completely prohibited in Islam and all other regions to burn a book, if its is Islamic or non Islamic book, as Muslim I respect to all regions and their books and same as this I want to be respected Quran too, and we should be respected each other no matter if we are the same religion or no , but we are human beings.

About the demonstration I must say the truth that they are not the whole people who live in Afghanistan, because every one has the right to hold demonstration, but peace fully and in a way that you can deliver your vices and concerns to addressees, but not in brutal way like killing of people ( un compound in Mazar Sharif those who were there to help people), burning of markets ( like yesterday in Kandahar demonstrators burned a big Market ) , it is clear behind these all chaos is the hand of Pakistan Taliban Alqaeda and their supporters, which its clear they are not representing all people. The majority of people who live in Afghanistan. Just Taliban and their some seductive supporters do such a brutal and full of violence demonstration.

The majority of people who live in Afghanistan know that they ANA and ANP even can not tackle small number of demonstrators then how they can control and make sure the security in all the country, as usually we are hearing that Karzai is claiming that they can keep the security after the hand over process to the Afghan forces, but in practice it is impossible , we should know Karzai wants through this hand over the security to Afghan forces to give more moral and power to Taliban Alqaeda and their supporters , therefore, Karzai is trying to return back country to the stone age ( Taliban time ) then that would be an irreparable compensations not for people who live in Afghanistan but also for the all world and region. We are well aware of Taliban’s brutality and barbarism when they were in Kabul, except killing and destroying Taliban do not know any thing else.

John – US soldiers are cowards as they call for air support as soon as they see few Talibans bad armed. Even the ground troops have superior arms. I told this face to face to a military and his brothers few days ago, even if his brother is my friend.
Our soldiers are not heroes, and when not protected by their miilitary, they are vulnerable.

No matter who killed these terrorist who attacked on phonix camp on Poli Charkhi road, the main point is this it is better that these three wild killed , Susan well written !

According to the eye witnesses these coward terrorist were under the Burqa who attacked on Phonix camp, it is good that they could not kill anyone and they are going to the hell,

These mentioned terrorist did not attack on Phonix cam because of burning of Quran by some one in usa, although it was a bad action, he should not had do that, according to god and humanity with should respect each other, not do bad actions against each others.

These Taliban in the past when they had control on most part of the country except killing and destroying they do now know any thing else, not matter whom they killed, they just know how to killed humanity, and its is clear that Taliban is trying to achieve the goals of ISI Pak, Russia , Arabas and etc and we are well aware of these, and the people of the country is supporting intentional forces, neither Karzai and nor Taliban Aqeada. And its still not clear in spite of all these killing and destroying behalf of Taliban Aqaeda and their supporters, the international forces are ignoring them and misleading by Karzai for negotiations with Taliban, but in fact these all efforts from Karzai is giving more moral for the Taliban and their backs ISI Aqaeda Arabs and etc to fight against the country and international forces, is not it?

Well i have taken the time to read all the comments made today and to be honest i find it a real shame that in 2011 we can react in this way, lets not forget that Afghanistan belongs to the Afghans and we are only vistors to this country. I have always maintained this way of thinking during my time in Afghanistan so much so that earlier this week. Myself and some friends spend the whole evening in a Wedding Hall in Mazar as we were invited by a local staff member to join his celebration. During this ceremony we were treated with great respect from more than One Thousand Local Afghan men. I was amazed in the way these people welcomed us and I felt more comfortable and relaxed there than I would back in my home country in a local bar with 20 people present. These people are so kind and only really looking to have Afghanistan back in the hands of the Afghans.
You only have to look around Mazar its a beautiful place, all the streets in the evening have brightly coloured lights shinning it put me in mind of driving down the Golden Mile at Black Pool. The following day returning to Kabul only to find out shortly afterwords this protest had taken place and for the reason nobody will ever know. The press in Afghanistan no matter if they are from Europe or America come up with these reasons for protests starting but if they were honest they really dont know they only need a to make a headline that will catch the eye of there readers.

Lets just stop all these false romours and give the main reason why the United Nations are in this country. They are here in the hope they can drain the country of its wealth and minerals and at the same time have a key position in the country as a hub for the future if War was to break out in the 6 countries attached to the boarders of Aghanistan. The cost of this Human Life what aprice to pay ( Cant get my head around that one)

What have we given Afghanistan so far ( United Nations) have given nothing, During the period that Russia tried to obtain leadership of Afghanistan they didnt come empty handed. if you ever come to Kabul for example its clear to see what the Russian gave to the local Afghan people, Housing was certainly a main contribution you only need to look around Kabul nearly all the housing was built by Russian Construction Companies this in turn gave the people security knowing they could be safe in there own homes and not having to fight for survival on a daily basis if they were to walk the streets. The Afghan people didnt like the Russian Invasion on there land but in the end they did appriciate what they received from the Russians during this time. And at the end of the day no matter what the religion people believe if other countries in the world were to try and invade your country iam 100% sure you would react in the same way as the local Afghan people are doing at the moment. I do hope that this brief explination has given you some insight to people who are not having to work in this country and live hear on a daily basis can you please just have some respect for these people as iam sure if this was to happen,in time peace will be possible if the United Nations Forces treat people no matter what the colour or race in the way they want to be treated.

I am a soldier tasked out to the company in charge of base defense on Camp Phoenix. First of all police did not kill the attackers, it was U.S. Army, and they are heroes... credit where credit is due. I'm glad the those terrorists got what they deserved. If they can hear me I hope you burn in Hell for what you tried to do. Secondly I would like to ask people not to burn books because, surprise, we want to go home to see our familes. We haven't been attacked on this base in two years so if you think that MAYBE this attack was caused by the book burning you are wrong. It was the impetus behind the attack and therefore is indirectly responsible. Freedom of speech is a God given right... for INTELLIGENT people! Nationalism is a tragedy. Send us a Bible instead pastor Jones. You didn't have to watch your friend get flown out by Medevac. For those of you who love your soldiers thank you for your patriotism.

Please understand that only very few extremists in the US would resort to burning the Kuran (example: the missguided clergy in Florida who did this). We the People in the US respect other People's beleives and faith and we would never disrespect the way Muslims worship God. This was an isolated incident from an ignorant "Preacher", who did not know what he was doing but by acting the way he did, he put our whole Nation in a bad light. I personally do not hate Muslims but I observe the Christian teachings by Jesus " Love Ye one another as I have loved you".

Please do not take the actions of one person to be representative of all the people in the U.S. Terry Jones is one sick individual. MOST Americans condem this action he has taken. American is the most tolerant nation on earth of other people's religion. Muslims in America can walk down the streets and are not bothered. They can observe their faith and no one objects. Treat them like ur foreign brothers and sisters. Burning a Quran or anything is foolish. Would u burn ur own sister’s 20 years old dairy? She would hate u for the rest of ur life. Here we are again, winning and losing young American lives in a futile effort to control and change a people to our cultural values by force. And at what point will we admit to ourselves that it is a losing situation for us. We will either be drained like the Russians were, or go broke as a nation from the cost of war. How many lives will be sacrificed to the Gods of War?
