Afghan police say Taliban kidnap 50, including officers

Taliban fighters kidnapped 50 people - including police officers - in northeastern Afghanistan on Sunday, police said.

The officers were among a group of people in four vehicles traveling in the Chapa Dara district, said Kunar province Police Chief Khalilullah Zaiyee.

The captured were unarmed and on leave, he said.

A Taliban spokesman said there were no civilians among the group captured.

"We have got documents and evidence that shows all the 50 captured people are policemen and they have also (confessed) during the investigations too," Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid told CNN.

This war must end. Afghan force must take over the country with innocent civilians if the government is not trust worthy.

It is always Pakistan and the country you named pays by USA, not the Afghan who love, his country and who can compare the good and the bad for the country, and we know who is good for our country and who is bad, and its clear not just for the people who live in Afghanistan, but also its clear for all the people throughout the world,

The propose and goal of fighting is also different, USA and international forces fight against the terrorist which Taliban Alqeda their supporters , suicide bombers. Taliban and Alqaeda is fighting to kill innocent civilians, humanity and to destruct the infrastructure of our country to achieve the aims of Pakistan ISI, Russia Saudi Arabia and UK, and fortunately majority of people who live in Afghanistan and who love their homeland they know better who is guilty and who is not, they have very clear picture of Taliban and their supporters and never they want Taliban back on power, even Karzai is trying to get it done. We know that God is always with right people now with wrong,

No. The difference is that Taliban are fighting for freedom in their land like their fathers fought against the Soviet. On the other hand the US are the terrorists killing civilians not just in Afghanistan, but even in Iraq, Serbia, Sudan, Pakistan, Lebanon, Vietnam, Korea, etc...

Karzai is not supporting the Taliban, he is fully controlled by the US, but he just asked to avoid civilian casualties, as any president should do, even having no power to change anything.

If Karzai is not supporting Taliban, how he can make meeting with Taliban in UK and how he can make meeting with Taliban (Aqani) in presidential palace several times, and implementing their agenda, even in replacing of ministers and key figures in government, what these all mean for you?
Though Taliban kills many innocent people in country, Karzai is offering them negotiations. Although people want strong and clear measures against Taliban Alqeda and their supporters, many times have seen that the Karzai is saying my Taliban brothers then what would be the incentives for the ANP and ANA to fight and do battle against Taliban? We need good and effective leadership,

Negotiations with Taliban are allowed and encouraged by the US military. You have to negotiate with the enemy, not with friends to have peace.

afghans are victims of international conspiracies which now they understand very well therefore prefer remaining neutral in this evil war on their soil. Hardly 20% of Afghan population either Taliban or those allied with anti Taliban alliance are at war against each other while 80% Afghans see both sides as two faces of same coin and consider them responsible for their three decades long sufferings. It is great human tragedy for which only these champions of human rights(USA and Western allies) are mainly responsible as both sides in the war use same currency(Dollars) and same US weapons in killing of innocent Afghans. PAMIRI do not blame ISI or Karzai for this unfortunate incident as main culprit is USA and their global strategic designs of which both are an integral part and work on US agenda. So be realistic and try to understand true enemy of Afghanistan which is no other then USA and her global designs.

I do not blaming any one but as an Afghan and human beings we should say the truth without any discriminations and bias. As we are on the ground and we know the past and the present time of Taliban and their allies, internal and outsiders, and they are the committed figures for all one going destruction in the country.

It is clear that all countries have their own interests in doing some thing, but at least we should know and choose which one of them are match with our country’s benefit and benefits people,

PAMIRI how you ignore blaming USA for what is going on on Afghan soil for the last three decades. First in the name of Islam they put Afghans against atheist Russia and destroyed half of Afghanistan. Now in war on terror which in other words is a war against Islam has destroyed rest of Afghanistan and North West of Pakistan. If you are Afghan then you must see the real reason behind wars for US world empire in this region.

Always be diffident when some foreign country want to help you. Even Russia helped Afghanistan against the British occupation in early 1900, but later tried to impose their rule. Now the Americans are trying to do the same and even worst.

except killing of people and humanity Taliban do not know any thing, they are ignorant people, from the stone time. People of the country know them better, and they are not the people to respect humanity, they are the people against the modernization , against the welfare of the people and humanity at all meanings, every day they kills many innocent people and civilians, but the Afghan government which is misleading by Karzai is ignoring these all their barbarism and brutality and offer them opportunities in one and the other ways,

These things are happening easily since we would have the president like Karzai, who is supporting Taliban Alqeda and ISI, there is no doubt and also people saying, behind these all is the government hand, especially Karzai and his affiliated ministers, otherwise it is impossible to kidnape 50 armed soldiers of police!!!
