Suicide attack kills more than 25

At least 26 civilians were killed in a suicide attack at the office of a district governor in Afghanistan's northern Kunduz province Monday, officials said. Another 36 people were wounded.

The number of fatalities is expected to rise, said Mahboobullah Sayedi, the spokesman for the province's governor.

The attack took place in Imam Sahib district when people were lining up to collect identification cards from the governor's office, Sayedi said.

This is Taliban who kills people intentionally, everyday Taliban kill people and stone women, and marrying very young girls to old men who is the long beard. Taliban looting the buses on the high ways and also putting land mines on the high ways, and roadside bombing, Taliban are wild and they are not amendable and you can not change them, it is up to the humanity to destroy them from the world, the god also does not like, who kills innocent people, We the people of Afghanistan know that the international forces are here to help and our people in terms of services and release ourselves from the barbarian Taliban and the country like Pakistan and Iran which supporting Taliban, but we want from the international forces to chose right one to run the country not Karzai and from his tribe and ethnic group, because all of them are Taliban and supporting Taliban in one or the other ways.
when Taliban kill people, and the Taliban arrest by the international and national forces then the Karzai release them with some financially support and again Taliban go to Queta Pakistan joining Taliban and against fight against people and international forces, and now defense ministry has more Taliban in it, since the figure who was against Taliban was replaced by Karzai , now most of the key positions and most of the defense ministry are Pashtuns according to Pakistan's idea this took place. now you people judge, who is right and who is wrong? Karzai is saying my Taliban brothers!!! if Taliban is his brother, why should the internaitonal forces fights against them or why the international forces put Karzai as president, Karzai is supporting Taliban there is no doubt on it, but why the international forces supporting Karzai?

salerno....if US has no spiritual values...why lot of third world country people seeking help from USA? Why many migrate there? Please do not talk wrong things. USA is a great nation and they cant understand one thing. It is what Taliban has done with people"s noses and ears? And why people do not fight face to face but blowing or flying jets into buildings. ? Because they dont have that evil spirit .

Taliban did not flie jet into buildings, did not cut noses. Violence is an INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY.

US is guilty because US acts as a nation, even if many americans are contrarian to war. Unfortunately the soldiers especially the pilots are animals, as other pilots in Libia refused to hit people with missiles, while the americans are cowarsd execution orders like the Nazi.

The US did add to the violence in Afghanistan. The key word there is "add". The US is not the root cause. The problem with Afghanistan and other countries in the Middle East and Northern Africa, is that they are way behind in terms of society and culture. Look at America during it's youth. People accused of witchcraft were burned alive. People were enslaved agaisnt their will. Beating your wife was allowed as long as the stick was no thicker than your thumb. It took a revolution, a civil war, countless activist sacrificing their lives and many other hardships for us to be where we are at. Now look at the countries mentioned above. They are going through the same types of growing pains we did. America is not the cause nor is it the solution. Enduring hardships, learning from past mistakes and evloving as a society that functions collectively as one, is the only solution to their problems. They have a looooong way to go though. We are hundreds of years ahead of them and we are not even close to where we need to be. The world as a whole still has many growing pains to endure, but hopefully in due time we can all realize our purpose and function as one.

We are not ahead, as our ignorance and violence is responsible for middle east problems. Colonialism destroyed their true leadership and culture, even in Egypt, turning them into violent people. They should look at the past.

We are far more advanced...just because you think America is a ruthless country ran by war mongering thugs, doesn't mean we are not ahead. We are advanced in almost everyway imagnable. We didn't become the worlds superpower for no reason. However like I said before, look at what we did in our youth, they are still exhibiting the same behaviors we grew out of many years ago. Your hate for America has consumed you, it doesn't matter what the problem is, it's always Americas fault. I'm sorry man but America just isn't the cause for every problem in the world. I know they are in some cases but not as many as you claim. If America vanished tomorrow all the worlds problems would not go away. They would only get worse.

Kevin – You are advanced just in technology, and in the power that comes from it, but it is just power without spiritual values.
You are far behind for what concern intellectual and spiritual faculties. I do not address my criticism only to USA, but to all the western world based on rampant consumerism and ignorance. People are violent and confused.

Salerno, do you think that these suicidal attacks will end if the US leaves, I think that because the Americans trained Afghan troops and have been so much time in Afghanistan, their influence over the troops is very big, if they want to stop the attacks they will have to change their ways, Afghans are very proud people and they don't like other cultures or countries to influence them.
