    I am opposed to both legal and illegal immigration. The United States is overpopulated, and 21 million Americans are out of work.

        Why must you use three exclamation marks? if it is to make a point you have succeeded in proving you are an idiot.

    Thanking Them is not enough... The way to Show You really Thank Them is by supporting Them and Their Families... That means You have to support giving to Them not taking from Them as the Tea Party will do!!!

    @ Bledsoe Have you been to afhanistan? I've done one tour and am leaving again in a few months to go back for another. I agree that the country belongs to the people of Afghanistan but if we leave now with the state its in the country will implode and will go back to harboring terriosts and putting the US (and you people) at risk again, so with all my heart i believe we need to stay untill the job is done. I couldnt be any more disappointed in the support this country gives to its service men and women. It makes me sick that all this country cares about is whats popular. I totally agree that the only people who have any real interst in the war are the ones with family and close friends over there. You should put more effort into thanking these brave men and women and not so much complaining about how obscene it is

    up here in Canada EH,when a soldier from our nation is killed in Afghanistan it makes the national news.there's even coverage when the remains return to the air base in Ontario and also at the funeral at the soldiers hometown.not quite so in the states,very seldom is an American soldiers death ever mentioned on your big news channels.deaths are mentioned usually in certain numbers like "this has been the deadliest month so far"or "this year has been deadlier then last year" the media in the states have been groomed by the higher ups to show as little coverage as possible WHY? very simple people at levels of the military and the government don't want a peasant uprising. if we here in Canada let this many of our troops get killed plus the billions of dollars thrown into the wind .we would be looking to string some people up a pole,but you folks let Beevis and Butthead have 2 full terms and quietly retire to Texas sooner or later you folks will wake up.

    @OPSEC
    This is not a good subject but I remember when the USA first went to Afghanistan and how everyone waved flags and supported our men and women heading into harms way. Yes, it was all about 9/11 but face the facts, we are still there. Do we need to be there? Probably not but I have a son who is there and fighting. He is in a bad area and they have sustained many casualties. We need to constantly be aware of what is going on. Maybe our leaders will reassess this war and bring our men and women home. It is sad we have put our economy on the front burner and moved this war to the back even though our troops fight everyday so we can live the way we do. Time to bring them home. Meanwhile...keep reporting what's happening so the public can cry out to our government to get these troops home.

      The news media does not report the war at all . If you listen to the news media, you would never know that our sons and daughters are risking their lives each day fighting this war. The only attention this war has is from the loved ones of those who are there. This country just went through a bitter battle with the elections and none of the politicians even thanked or remarked on the war in Afghanistan.

      Just when are you people going to wise up and realize that this obscene war stinks? The right-wing politicians are using it to make political gains by promises of a "glotious" victory.Contrary to what you believe,Afghanistan belongs to the Afghans and nobody else!!!

      RME....you are correct here. war is going on for along time . many people today are on prayers than earlier. In this moment I am also with you to pray . Thank god for you and your son who has gone there to keep his country free from danger. May God be with you in this difficult moment and bring you out from it !!!!

      Agree. We hardly hear from our own. Email is shutting down. Phone calls are rare and very limited in access. The news reports little these days. We don't read "Support our Troops". It's the 'avoided' topic. All that we read about are teabaggers (amazingly, teabaggers look clean, well-rested and healthy though-unlike those serving). Anyone who doesn't have loved ones there, becomes hostile toward families of those serving and risking their lives for? Allegedly innocent people in far-away lands. Obviously because that is what the world expects of us. Doubt that we would be there if Afghanistan didn't want us there to do the work they can't seemingly do themselves. It's more than enough to make parents cry. Months to go before we sleep. 'Nuff said.

    The men and women dying in this war on terrorism will be honored by God for their bravery, love for freedom and the American way of life that allows the people to vote in who they want in power instead of some fanatics taking power by force!

      I agree. Isn't it a shame our President and the "new" leaders are going to sit down and see what can be done about the economy rather than sitting down tomorrow to see what we need to do to bring our troops home. I pray for them everyday and just today received a call that my son's convoy was ambushed and suffered three wounded. This war needs to be addressed before we lose another soldier5.
