pastor terry jones is a terrorist! No one should ever burn a religious book. All he is doing is making himself famous while putting our soldiers in much more danger. Why don't people worry about their own religion and stop worrying the other religions? Well I for one hopes he does not succeed in this disgraceful act. Oh yea I am an American and I believe we should all live in peace!

First and foremost is the need to have NATO vacate Afghanistan and America to reconsider the policy of isolationism. It worked quite well for 150 years and there's absolutely no reason to think that it won't work again.

pakistan will never get involved with this war there going to make any excuse they can come up with to not deal with the taliban in there country. there going to keep on wathcing the taliban run back and forth over the border and launch attack from the pakistani side of the border into afghanistan against us troops. in my opinion deploy seal and special forces teams at night to operate in pakistan without concent of the paki government. there not going to do anything we need to make something happen.

Dan – Let me tell you the facts = Pakistan has 800+ border posts on Pakistan side of the border. And US / Afghan forces have only 150 border post on Afghan side of the border. I wanna know who is serious to watch the border. Off course u will never hear this fact on US Coperate media.

All Pakistan Haters here. Keep in mind that NATO / US 70% supply goes through Pakistan Roads, So beware what you ask for. Because you don't want your forces to die in WAR with out WAR suppliesčÖé

Pakistan´╗┐ Army /´╗┐ ISI have already sacrificed a lot to help US´╗┐ Occupation in Afghanistan. 6000+ Army / ISI officers have died´╗┐ in last 9 years. With 20,000+ ordinary citizens of Pakistan have also died. The only thing Pakistan´╗┐ got is destruction / Blood / economy destroyed in last 9 years.

Now Pakistan Army / ISI should now ONLY protect Pakistan INTEREST. US have already lost in Afghanistan against Taliban with AK-47s and now asking for Pakistan help do Face saving´╗┐ before Afghanistan EXIT.

Pakistan has never had an economy. Pakistan has lived-off the hand-out and generosity of US, Western European countries and China. Pakistani intellect has either migrated abroad or live in Pakistan as politicians or Senior Army men. The rest of the population is abused and used by the politicians, thugs and military (ISI) for their personal gain.

I agree that the US should walk away from Afghanistan – US should stop trying to influence everyone and make friends of everyone. It's just unrealistic. US should instead adopt the policy of live and let live... every culture should be respected and everyone should agree that need to stop influencing the other with their religious and cultural beliefs.

Pakistan should stop receiving covert support and wealthy countries should instead try and develop Pakistan towards economic growth by way of better universal education and industries that will create employment and exports for Pakistan. If Pakistan starts to grow economically, it will get busy in growing and flourishing and will not spend its time and resources on covert activities in Afghanistan, India and around the world via ISI

One way for that to happen Kevin,is to have the Communists take over and set up a regime of their own and rid Pakistan of both corruption and Western control like China did back in 1950.

By all means, let's start another war by proxy between the commies and the U.S. Yes, that would solve everything. Then we could fund and supply the Afghan tribes all over again only to have them turn on us after they commies give up.
        Genius.

No matter we like it OR not, If we want to end this conflict in Afghanistan, we have to get help from Pakistan, so they can force Afghan Taliban to get on with negotiations with USA.We have already tried alone for 9 years alone and its not working..

We will have to accept the fact that Pakistan Army / ISI will never let India get into any role in Afghanistan..because they do not want to get encircled by india from both sides..

As soon as we realize above, we can we out of this mess in Afghanistan.

The only reason Pakistan can afford to carry on all its fights (directly and indirectly) is because it's kept afloat by US (via donations) and by China, cause it uses Pakistan as a way to keep India down and busy.

If China can be offered a bait (mining rights in Afghanistan) and the ability to use Indian labor and ports to exploit it, China will walk away from Pakistan in a heartbeat.

Once Pakistan is out of the equation, Afghanistan will start to see economic progress and with that comes increased tolerance and peace for the people of Afghanistan.

Pakistan and China have to be separated and things will then fall into place.

History tell us that they will keep on fighting for century if needed. We need to save the money / blood . As CIA Director Panetta said: 50-100 Al Qaeda Members are Left in Afghanistan. And we need 100,000 troops to fight 100 All Qaeda ?
