General DR i am sorry to have said mean things to you earlier, this issue brings out strong feelings in many of us.
You are rigaht this has to stop. Everyday the news is full of suffering all over the world. This has been going on for 10 years. Something has to change. The middle east, wars, more wars in africa, criminals, mexico drug wars, environment, economy, housing and debt all of it is crazy!!! i dont know what will happen but try to take it easy or it will drive you nuts. All of this continues and we have no choice but to go along for the ride.
i do not know if bringing troops home is the answer, maybe. or maybe it will give fanatics a chance to grow stronger and they will attack us again at home. i have no answers but hope for the best.
"We" are here because the last time the U.S. bailed on Afghanistan before the job was finished, it didn't exactly turn out well. Wouldn't it be better to stay long enough to see things through, rather than making the same mistake a second time?
The big mistake we made was by going there in the first place! We'll make the mistake of "bailing out" Afghanistan again. After all, does anyone really think that the right-wing thugs in Washington will give us any choice in the matter???
Afghanistan Crossroads is where CNN's reporting converges -- bringing you a diversity of voices, stunning images and video, global perspectives and the latest news from on the ground in Afghanistan and around the world.
