Who is Bradley Manning?

Right now, Bradley Manning is alone.

The 22-year-old U.S. Army private, suspected of involvement in the largest-ever intelligence leak in American history, is in solitary confinement at Quantico, the Marine Corps base in Virginia. He's facing eight counts of violating U.S. Criminal Code for allegedly leaking a secret military video from the Iraq war that made its way to WikiLeaks.org.

If convicted, he could go to prison until he's a very old man.

People who say they know Manning describe him as naturally adept at computers, smart and opinionated, even brash. Friends and acquaintances paint a picture of a person who, from a young age, couldn't help but get involved when he perceived an injustice. It was a tendency that sometimes sparked confrontation with authority figures and those who disagreed with him, they say.

Who care's about if he is gay or not. That is just another smear to cover up the real fact that the military was lying to the public again and again. What's new? Little man exposes the truth and the big man in power lies and abuses their power over & over. Who will get nailed for lying to the public? The little man trying to tell the truth. Not the actual liar. If he would have tried the whistle blowing route instead of taking it to the American people they (the Military) would have destroyed his career and made an example of him. Duty Honor Country? There can be no honor in liars!!!

Why is this traitor not being charged with treason in a declared war (i.e. against terrorism)? The penalty is death, which is too good for him!

This is my first time on this site, and I am astonished by how your ranting makes you sound so irrational. The military really has brainwashed your USMC Forever. The way you argue makes you look like an American military puppet and makes us Americans look dumber than a sack of hammers. You should be honored that you fight for America but when you are trying to make a point use something with some substance rather than racism and red herrings that have no use in backing up your point.

Pakistani Retards, I am back, just got back from the field and I must say splitting those Taliban skulls with my M82A3 gave me the ultimate Hard-on. How are all you stinkin morons doing today??? Oh, I am sorry let me answer the question!!! Mr. Manning is now in the care of the US Marine Corps and is probably wondering why he ran his undisciplined fat mouth. See Pakis, he has alot of time on his hands and you better believe the Corps is making him PAY and PAY GOOD. He is a waste of 18 inches of god given skin and he is a deadman walking. Good bye dummies as I must get ready for the next patrol, hey maybe I'll be out in your town kind of scoping things out if you get my drift. Better put the kids to bed and stay inside and lock your doors, for the lean green reaper is hungry for some Paki and Talibani ANUS.

Good for you that you got back from patrol without crushing a foot with the magazine from that. Those 50 rounds DO weigh a few ounces...
Personally, never had a lot of use for a Barrett, too heavy and when it's fired, EVERYONE knows where the round came from. The sniper post looked like a mortar landed there...
As for Marines punishing the turd, they'd better not. If they do, they're no better than he is.
Let him get his court martial and lethal injection for sedition and treason.
Pity it's lethal injection. He looks like a good zero target.

When American and NATO soldiers are dieing because they weren't told critical information by US Military Commanders which withheld that information, brave Men and Women will send that information to various independent news agencys to get that word out and save as many lives as they can. This appears to be the effort, desire and wishes of Bradley. Bradley is a hero to many and a courageous man to the men and women in Afghanistan whose lives were saved by the information revealed on Wikileaks.

WHAT information was withheld by "commanders" from forces that are operating at the front?
None, that's why butt munch got his hands all over that data.
Unlike many other wars, this one is being fought with the latest data available. Sometimes too much data that causes information overload.
But information isn't being withheld from ANY troops when they NEED it.
BUT I certainly won't give information to a troop in Bagram information about Kandahar when he's operating in Bagram. That just doesn't make ANY sense. It'd be like telling a Philadelphia cop where a criminal is and what he's doing in Columbus, Ohio.

  13. You have not told me anything yet

What was original clause of using wiki do they upload larger size files, this whole thing appears as a solder snapping videos of days event to share with the company They have an option of overseeing the individual as though he could possibly be a danger
I think they need to determine whether they were videos of a work day for keep sake or videos of actions used to improve the service, personal I think it was a bad choice though if I asked to do reports for the company and I was asked by my commander to post information I would though I have my doubts that wiki would be a place to do it.

I f he is just reporting what he is told and learns he needs to wake up I would not like my events on wiki and I would rather not have them posted on a world wide web connection I am sure several have second thoughts of using diaries let alone www

Well, glad to see people have had their morning stupid flakes with a double helping of moron milk!
FIRST, the military cannot and WILL not attempt to determine if and when their commander in chief is breaking ANY law.
To do otherwise is called a military dictatorship.
That is for the CIVILIAN government to do. So, WHY haven't you raised cain with your senator?
What is the heart of the matter is that he released SECRET information. He did so in an apparent attempt to influence US policy.
That, in the military, is called sedition and treason. Both capital offenses.
Civilians only get jail time, military get the death penalty through lethal injection.
When placed in a position of trust, the penalties are much higher. Unless you're in congress...

I agree, this private is a Very Couragous Soldier and he had the right to tell and show the American people what tha Military does and is always "sweeping under the carpet" what the American people have the right to know. The Military screw up and why our Soldiers are dying in VAIN. The American people forget we have rule in the Military that forbid us to engage fire unless we are fired upon. Even that is questionable to our young Troops. The Enemy has NO rules and therefore ingage fire upon our young troops that litteraly have thier rights taken away and thier hands tied. I know because I am a VET.

lets do a quick role reversal....if this kid even spoke a word of treason in the taliban ranks he would get a car battery plugged to his man parts for interrogation and his whole family would be tortured to death. but thankfully in american we have a decent form of justice...

i do agree that the government should not censor the war but the media should also not censor for the enemy...show the stonings, beatings, bombings and mutilated bodies of children that the taliban is doing. will see how this plays out..i just hope that the taliban doesnt gain any advantages by the intel that these leaks might have
