TIME Magazine examines women in Afghanistan and how some have embraced the freedoms that have come from the defeat of the Taliban — and how they fear a Taliban revival. Fawzia Koofi, in photo at right, is one of those women. The former deputy speaker of Parliament, Koofi is very outspoken on women's issues. She is running again for a second term in parliament, but fears that new election rules may make it more difficult to succeed. She fears that outspoken women like her will be sidelined.
Photographer Jodi Bieber meets the extraordinary women of a war-torn nation in a TIME Magazine photo essay.

The rights of women are safe in the country, in fact Taliban will give more rights to women in the country as they come again to power. the one who is in picture (Kofi) she is the woman always accusing Taliban. If she werent doing these accusing she will survive. but she is quite intelligent and active woman.
I'd like to know just how many millions of dollars this broad Koofi has in her bank account right about now since she's being paid with our tax money.
Thank you anbel, keep on reminding and it will help. You remind me of my high school English teacher.
A lair is the den of an animal you understand English and just need to apply yourself more diligently.

AfPak is part and parcel of OLD INDIA.All the problems of this area are due to Arab Islam which came into this area as the most vicious imperialism of any age.So this is the problem.Creation of Pakistan has created more problems than it had expected to solve-mainly Hindu-Muslim deadlock of India in 1947.Pakistan, though created as a homeland for Indian Muslims, became the epicentre of global jihad-thanks to Paki rulers who totally forgot the Jinnah line and ran astray blinded by rabbid anti-Indianism.The foolish ISI idea to establish an Islamic Caliphate in the mountains of Hindukush has resulted in utter failure and civil war in Afganistan.Pakistan is responsible for Afgan disintegration. The only solution is a return to the old era, ie Hindu era of AfPak.This does not mean end of Islam, but end of Arabism which is the main problem.Hindu Islam is the solution for AfPak, not Arab Islam, which is "only for the Arab, by the Arab, of the Arab".Outside it, it is sheer IMPERIALISM.This is neither anti-Islamism, nor anti-Arabism. This is just NON-ARABISM.Non-Arab is the key factor.
You are speaking like a true paki (a hinderance)
Hinderedness is domain of a Hindu, they are what they call themselves. Pakistanis and human hate hind( filth)t, they are Muslim. Hind's need to start taking shower.
"( filth)t, they are Muslim." I must remember that.
Good luck to her i hope she has the future she deserves.
I wonder just how much they paid this broad.Anything to make NATO look good!
Don't try to bring her down to your level. She has morals.
Come on,Phunnie boy.Get serious.
Are you really Anabel or Phunnie boy in disguise?I guess you won't dare say, will you?
What are you talking about? you are making no sense at all.
