Thank you Afghan guy.Like you I get quite irritated to see all these ignorant right-wing nutjobs blog in here just to glorify this obscene war.Now President Obama is going to try to tell Hamid Karzai what to do.I just wonder how much of our hard earned tax money is he prepared to pay Karzai or is he going to try to coerse him into carrying out orders from Washington,London and Paris.

I thought I would read interesting comments but only found Afghan Guy and Iraq Paramedic battling it out in cyber space.

The Taliban is a by product of Western Powers in their fight to bring down the Soviet Empire in the 80's and 90's. Their short sightedness in thinking the Taliban 'they created' will never be a threat was foolishly wrong. Any historian can tell you not to mess with Afghans.

As for Karzai, well a puppet or not, who else do we have ?!

As an Afghan, my problems with Karzai evolve around him NOT being strong willed enough to hold Pakistan in check and to do away with war lords and corruption that has become part of everyday life.

How I long for Gen Daoud who was a true and fearless patriot !

Now, that is what Afghanistan needs. Someone who is fearless, holds evey official accountable and gives poor Afghans HOPE for a better future.

Unfortunatly, Karzai is not that type of leader nor do I see anyone with such traits for years to come. Sadly, the suffering goes on for all.

The reality is that Afghanistan is an abused victim of India and whipping boy of the rest and Pakistan is trying to free the abused boy from its perpetrators and abuser India. Once Afghanistan gets out of the battered and abused syndrome and standsup, it will be able to happily hold hands with its twin brother Pakistan and move towards properity. Then together they can effectively fight terrorism and drive the terror making machines from their countries. Together they can start nurturing their rich culture with education as top priority as it once used to be in the past, a few decades ago. Amen.

Oh and IRaq Paramedic, I could guess from your post on the Afghan female pilot that you were a redneck trigger-happy idiot, typical in the US military. YOu expect me to fight the Taliban? That's exactly what the Soviets told me. I would rather fight the occupiers than those farmers who are fighting for freedom. Face it, not all Taliban are those religious zealots. They are dying to free their country from 78 countries who came to take revenge on the poor country.

Iraq Paramedic, why do you even comment on the Afghanistan blog? You are only like 12 with your spelling, lieing... really? Either an uneducated redneck Bible thumper or a 12 year old who hasnt' passed the 4th grade yet. If you can't even spell simple words in the only language you know, what makes you think I will even read your nonsense? Keep believing in god, because it was invented for sheep like you.

Hey Afghan Guy, why don't you go practice your wedding day with your little male Taliban friends you little terrorist. Kharzi is a coward & a corrupt, lieing, ass kissing punk & he is now meeting with his counter part in Washington. Why don't you, Afghan Guy, stand up & run for office or make a stand againts the Taliban who kill 10's of thousands of innocent Afghans & others for no reason other than to protect the drug lords & drugs, who by the way buy & sell your young children like they where cattle but, you don't care because you are one of them. May God have mercy on your soul.
May GOD bless & keep us all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As an Afghan who has studied Afghanistan's history since its founding, I can tell you Karzai will go down in the history of Afghanistan as a very coward guy. Afghanistan in the past had had only one real puppet, and his name was Shah Shujah. He was the puppet set up by the British when they tried conquering Afghanistan (and 3 times they were defeated). That guy is synonymous with coward/traitor/puppet in Afghanistan. Now an even worse one is Karzai. He is doing worse things than Shah Shujah did. Karzai even lets foreign invaders in the country and freely allows them to bomb Afghan villages and kill thousands of innocents... who are later labeled terrorists/Taliban. If Karzai was a real Afghan and had balls, he wouldn't threaten to join the Taliban, but actually do it.

Karzai was away on a foreign trip on Mujahedeen Victory/independence day, but he's willing to visit the Arlington Cemetry to show his respect for the invaders who were killed as they tried to kill Afghans. He's far worse than a puppet. He will never show respect for his own country men, but he will show respect for dead occupiers.
